Kaiyla is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Politics at Princeton specializing in American Politics and Race and Ethnic Politics.

Some of her research interests include: Race and Ethnic Politics, African American Politics, Gender Politics, Public Opinion, Political Behavior, and Identity Politics.
