Elaine Yim is a PhD student in the Department of Politics specializing in political theory. Her research interests include democratic theory, civil disobedience and global justice. Her dissertation concerns the boundaries of democracy and the justifications of global civil disobedience. She is also planning to engage in ethnographic work with a civil disobedience group.
