Last fall, Barack Obama spoke about key ideas found in Unequal Democracy: The Political Economy of the New Gilded Age by Larry Bartels during a stop on the campaign trail. These comments came on the heels of a commentary for CNN in which James Carville wrote "[Obama] should start by reading Unequal Democracy by Princeton academic Larry Bartels." Carville now cites Bartels' work in Carville's new book, 40 More Years: How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation.
Visiting fellows for the coming academic year 2009-2010

CSDP is pleased to introduce another outstanding cohort of visiting fellows for the coming academic year. They will be in Princeton from September 2009 through June 2010, pursuing their own research on democratic processes and institutions and contributing to the broader intellectual life of CSDP, the Woodrow Wilson School, and the Department of Politics.
