Carrie Konold's Paper Named Best at AMSS

Shari'ah and the Secular State in Senegal: Understanding Citizen Preferences for Islamic Family Law by Carrie Konold (University of Michigan; CSDP 2008-2009) was selected as the Best Graduate Paper Award at the 2009 Annual Conference of the Association of Muslim Social Scientists of North America (AMSS). The 38th Annual Conference of AMSS, "Islamic Traditions and Comparative Modernities," was cosponsored by the University of Virginia, and held on September 25-26, 2009.
