Brandice Canes-Wrone, along with co-author Kenneth Miller (UNLV), was featured in the Washington Post Magazine article "America's Hidden Crisis of Power and Place." The article discusses how the political elite in both parties are disproportionately connected to a few neighborhoods in a few metropolitan areas that are distant and different from the places they are supposed to understand and govern, and highlights their recent work. Their paper, "Out-of-District Donors and Representation in the US House," presents their research findings that current fundraising dynamics skew representation in significant ways.
Brandice Canes-Wrone is Donald E. Stokes Professor in Public and International Affairs, Professor of Politics, and Director, Center for the Study of Democratic Politics (CSDP) at Princeton University. Kenneth Miller, formerly postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, is assistant professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
