Larry Bartels, Donald E. Stokes Professor of Public and International Affairs, Professor of Politics and Public Affairs, and Director of the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics (CSDP) at Princeton University, was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Political and Social Science (AAPSS). AAPSS was created in 1889 to promote the progress of the social sciences by creating a forum in which research on contemporary political, economic, and social issues could help inform public policy as well as enlighten the intellectually curious. In May 2010, AAPSS inducted seven scholars as Fellows of the Academy, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to social science and their sustained efforts to communicate their research beyond their disciplines. The full story, including a link to Bartels' acceptance speech, is posted on the Princeton University news page:
