Is the US presidency in crisis as an institution?  To what extent are the factors that contributed to Trump’s election and define his presidency personal versus broader developments? What are the implications of the Trump presidency for US policy and political discourse? This conference will bring together leading academics, policymakers, and journalists to discuss these issues. Panels will consider the presidency as it relates to executive policymaking, congressional relations, the judiciary, foreign policy, public communications, and elections.
