CSDP has been offered access to a unique panel dataset from the Karlsruhe Institute, which includes biweekly data on 3,000 U.S. respondents since May 2023 (and weekly data on 1,500 respondents from October 2022 to May 2023). The dataset provides respondent location at the zip code level.

SOSEC is now looking to get more US academics working with these data. The survey asks questions about political trust in different institutions, how respondents feel that institutions and elites are responding to crises, and about sentiments toward several current issues (Ukraine, Gaza, etc.). I have also attached a code book from one wave of the panel and an MA thesis based on the panel for more info.

CSDP affiliates will be able to access the data free of charge through Jonas Fegert. For those interested, CSDP will set up a zoom lunch with Jonas to ask questions about the data and gain access.
